Vitamin D: How to know if your baby is getting enough |
Is your baby getting enough Vitamin D?
Even as the days get longer and sunnier here in the UK, the Department of Health and Social Care recommends Vitamin D supplementation all year-round for babies and young children*.
Vitamin D supplementation complements your infant's diet and helps support the normal function of your baby's immune system. It is needed for the normal growth and development of bones in children.
The Department of Health and Social Care recommends Vitamin D for babies from birth to 4 years who are not receiving more than 500ml of formula a day.
If you think your child might not be getting enough Vitamin D, please speak to your healthcare professional for advice.
