Important notice
The Department of Health recommends exclusive breastfeeding for the first 6 months and continued breastfeeding for as long as possible alongside the introduction of complementary foods. Unless otherwise advised by a health care professional, the introduction of solid foods to a baby’s diet should commence at around 6 months of age but not be delayed beyond 6 months, nor introduced before 4 months.
