Dear [* data('firstname') || 'Healthcare Professional' *],
Vitamin D deficiency is a public health concern in the UK1. As we move closer to autumn the need for raising awareness about vitamin D becomes more important since between October and early March we do not make enough vitamin D from sunlight2. Vitamin D plays many vital roles in health, from bone development to strengthening the immune system3,4.
The Department of Health and Social Care recommendations aim to make sure babies and young children get enough vitamin D2.
Take a look at our resources on vitamin D which include, our new infographic factsheet, an article with a short 2-minute video and webinars featuring key opinion leaders.
