Month 19 news
As if by magic, your toddler may have found another extra gear! If they are walking, their confidence levels may even now have seen them run a little. They may also be pushing or pulling toys around the house too, so be prepared for the odd crash! |

The Expert View
Mealtimes are about more than just food. They're a wonderful opportunity for the family to sit together and bond. Not only are they important for their behavioural and social skills, they also encourage good motor skills and eating habits too. Soon their table manners will be better than their Dad's! |

Need to know
Most toddlers love to be independent and do things their own way. They're developing so quickly, after all! Embrace this new attitude by encouraging your little one to do simple tasks for themselves, such as taking off a t-shirt or tidying things away. |

Tip: Delicious fishes
Does something smell fishy? Omega 3 is expertly important to your toddler, so try to make sure they get 1-2 portions of oily fish every week. Salmon, mackerel, sardines and fresh tuna make perfect additions to their diet. |

Tip: Keep it calm
If your toddler is enjoying a family mealtime, don't worry about trying to get them to clear their plate. This can lead to food refusal and you don't want them to be anxious at mealtimes. |
