Dear [*data('91.salutation')|html*]
To keep your baby’s bones and teeth healthy, it’s important there’s vitamin D in the diet as this helps your baby’s body absorb calcium. And because your baby grows and develops very rapidly in the first few years, vitamin D is vital to support this. Useful sources of vitamin D include oily fish, liver, eggs and formula milk and breakfast cereals. The Department of Health recommends that all children from six months to five years old are given supplements, in the form of vitamin drops, which contain vitamins A, C and D. If your child is having 500ml of formula each day, they will not need the drops. Your health visitor can give you advice on vitamin drops and tell you where to get them. You’re entitled to free vitamin drops if you qualify for Healthy Start.
