Nearly a whole year has flown by since your little one entered the world – which means it's
time to get party planning! Family and friends will be so excited to share this big milestone with you
and your baby. So pass the cake, balloons and party hats! In the meantime, we're asking that all-important
question – what do you do with a picky eater?
You and your baby
Month 11 news
'Cruising' may well be a familiar sight around your living room these days. That's because your
little one is well on the way to walking already. Don't worry if they haven't taken those precious first
steps yet – this can happen any time between 11 and 18 months.
Family mealtimes are a wonderful time for you all to bond –
and you might soon be thinking about introducing your little one to the big dinner table!
When your baby starts eating with the rest of the family, just watch their portion sizes.
Babies can get easily overawed by big meals, so give them a little bit first and then add
more food later if they want it.
Your baby's poo has probably changed a lot since you started
weaning – but don't worry, that's to be expected! Tummy troubles can be common with
babies and there are some easy things you can do to relieve diarrhoea and other issues.
Whatever the condition, make sure to keep your little one hydrated.
How do you cope with a fussy eater? Most mums get frustrated
at some point – but as difficult as it can be, try to stay calm. Force feeding your
baby won't help and is only likely to make them more upset.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The best way to feed a baby is to breastfeed, as breast milk
provides the ideal balanced diet and protection against illness for your baby and also many non-nutritional
benefits for both baby and mother. We recommend that you speak to your healthcare professional when deciding
on your choice of feeding your baby. Professional guidance should also be sought on the preparation for
and maintenance of breastfeeding. If you do choose to breastfeed, it's important to eat a healthy, balanced
diet. Infant formula is intended to replace breast milk when mothers choose not to breastfeed or if for
some reason they are unable to do so. A decision not to breastfeed, or to introduce partial bottle-feeding,
will reduce the supply of breast milk. If for any reason you choose not to breastfeed, do remember that
such a decision can be difficult to reverse. Using infant formula also has social and financial implications
which must be considered. Infant formula should always be prepared, used and stored as instructed on
the label, in order to avoid risks to a baby's health. SMA® PRO Growing Up Milk is suitable for young children from 1-3 years, as part
of a healthy balanced diet and it is not a breast milk substitute. SMA® Organic
Growing Up Milk is suitable for young children from the 12th month, as part of a healthy balanced
diet and it is not a breast milk substitute.
