How to start exercising when you're still feeling delicate
Hello [*data('91.salutation')|html*],

Can you believe that your little one is already four months old? You're doing great! In this week's edition we look at ways you can look after yourself, as well as your baby.
You and your baby
Week 16 News

Hopefully you're seeing a more settled baby at night now, with sleeping patterns easier to predict. By day, though, chances are your little one is buzzing with curiosity about their new world. Mostly, that's adorable. But don't forget that looking after a baby is a big task - and it's perfectly normal to be tired. Why not ask your partner or family to take over babycare for the evening if you need a rest!
The Expert View
Even if you've had a Caesarean Section, it's OK to do some gentle exercises. Joining a post-natal class is a good way of learning safe moves, and of meeting a few mums in the same boat as you. Ask your health visitor about local classes, as well as which exercise is right for you.

Need to know
This week, another round of immunisations are due for your little one. This is the last for the year and completes a vital course of three doses for protection against big diseases. Some children run a temperature afterwards, so have some infant pain relief ready.

Tips for you
Tip:
Get a wriggle on!
Your little one will now likely be offering less and less cooperation when on the changing table - they just want to get moving! Be sure you have everything ready to go before putting them down so you can make the change as quick as possible. Also, never leave them unattended on there, not even for a second as they can move really swiftly!
Tip:
Easier travel
Here's a nod to the wise: if you're going on a longer journey, try to time it to coincide it with your baby's most common nap or sleep time. Peace and quiet!

IMPORTANT NOTICE: The best way to feed a baby is to breastfeed, as breast milk provides the ideal balanced diet and protection against illness for your baby and also many non-nutritional benefits for both baby and mother. We recommend that you speak to your healthcare professional when deciding on your choice of feeding your baby. Professional guidance should also be sought on the preparation for and maintenance of breastfeeding. If you do choose to breastfeed, it's important to eat a healthy, balanced diet. Infant formula is intended to replace breast milk when mothers choose not to breastfeed or if for some reason they are unable to do so. A decision not to breastfeed, or to introduce partial bottle-feeding, will reduce the supply of breast milk. If for any reason you choose not to breastfeed, do remember that such a decision can be difficult to reverse. Using infant formula also has social and financial implications which must be considered. Infant formula should always be prepared, used and stored as instructed on the label, in order to avoid risks to a baby's health.
